Your files
ReadMarkdown only opens the files and folders you choose. It reads and saves them on your Mac and never uploads them anywhere. Images from the internet are never loaded.
No tracking
ReadMarkdown has no analytics, no advertising and no account.
Feature requests
The Suggest Features board is powered by WishKit. When you open it, WishKit creates a random ID so it can remember your votes. If you submit a request or a comment, WishKit stores its text, and your email address if you choose to enter one. This information is only used to run the board. It is never sold and never used for tracking.
This website
This website uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they look at. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects the pages you visit, your approximate location, and details about your device and browser. This information is only used to improve the website. To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
None of this happens in the app. ReadMarkdown itself has no analytics.
